Tell us a bit about yourself:
My name is mr. Rewind, and I’ve been a DJ since I was 8 years old. I want to bring people back in time with my music, to a beautiful memory, location, person,… music is the only means that can reach a place in the brain to bring back your memories
How did you get into DJing?
When I was 8 years old I started on a local radio station, there the love for music has only grown, this to even making my own music
What DJs have had the most influence on you?
Carl Cox, Tiësto, DJ Licious
You’re being put to death, but you can listen to one last track before you die. What track do you choose?
The last track I want to hear is “10 seconds before sunrise” by DJ Tiësto, this music will guide me to the afterlife and brings back beautiful memories of my life here on earth
What’s your favourite thing about Ibiza?
First time I was in ibiza, the song shed my skin just came out, I recently made a new remix of this, which can be heard in my mix.
What’s the easiest thing about being a DJ?
The easiest thing about DJ’ing is transferring the music in your heart to your audience, when you play happy music you also see happy faces
And what’s the hardest thing about being a DJ?
The hardest thing about DJing is making sure people bring back the right memories through your music, not just the bad moments in their lives. it’s all about making people happy with your music, unfortunately a song can enter their heart and soul differently for everyone
Best thing about Dance Music culture right now?
The best thing about our music culture is that you can tell people your story through your choice of songs, you can connect with people you would never meet or meet in your life otherwise. Music brings people together
Worst thing about Dance Music culture right now?
What I regret is that when I started DJ-ing people went out to a club to discover music, now people go to a club to hear music that they listen every day on spotify or radio
Why should listeners vote for you?
