Tell us a bit about yourself:
Hi, we’re Castor & Pollux from NYC and we bring the biggest and best of bigroom, progressive, and electro tracks on the globe.
How did you get into DJing?
We got into DJing and the dance music scene by watching Hardwell’s Tomorrowland 2012 set back in October of that year. His track Spaceman was the start of it all for us to get into the scene.
What DJs have had the most influence on you?
Hardwell, Swedish House Mafia, and W&W.
You’re being put to death, but you can listen to one last track before you die. What track do you choose?
Journey – Don’t Stop Believin’ (Maurice West Bootleg)
What’s the easiest thing about being a DJ?
The easiest thing about being a DJ is playing music that you love.
And what’s the hardest thing about being a DJ?
The hardest thing about being a DJ is always knowing what to play next and how to read the crowd.
Best thing about Dance Music culture right now?
Best thing about the scene right now is how much it has grown since COVID hit the world. We feel it came back stronger than ever.
Worst thing about Dance Music culture right now?
Worst thing about the culture is social media ruined people living in the moment. Festivals used to be about enjoying the moment and being present in that moment and with social media blowing up, people just want to show other people what they’re doing and not being present at dance music events.
Why should listeners vote for you?
Listeners should vote for us because our rise in a year (from June 2021-June 2022) has been incredible. We went from doing livestreams in a small Brooklyn studio to playing alongside acts such as Martin Garrix, Tiesto, Alesso, Alan Walker, and so many more massive artists.
