Tell us a bit about yourself:
My real name is Daniel Iliev 43 years old, and im from Bulgaria. Since 2014 for those who know me i release music under the alias of Daniel De Roma. And to date i have released music under this alias on imprints like Vandalism Musique,Fuse Records,Conceptual, Piston Recordings to name a few. My music productions stands firm and they are associated with the groovy and tight sound i feature. I am a founder and owner of Secret Jams Records.I am currently based in Mexico City , Mexico.
How did you get into DJing?
I got into djing in 2005 officially but i was djing way back in my teenage years 1998 starting with friends on private partyes, for the pure love for the electronic , particularly underground house music.
What DJs have had the most influence on you?
DJ Bobby I – one of the best in 90’s bulgarian mc and vinyl dj .DJ Steven the head of today known in Bulgaria Metropolis events.G-Pal (George Palikaris) the greek producer and dj that inspired me a lot during my first official dj years.Westbam – know for his unique specific sound Laurent Garnier – all i can write for why he inspired me will be insufficient ,lots of respect.Danny Tenaglia – house music true pioneer and more

The atmosphere and energy on parties and in the air
What’s the easiest thing about being a DJ?
No such thing as easy in djing or whatever occupation . Here the thing is not to complain but to realize and be happy and appreciate that you are actually chasing your dream of being dj, producer (speaking about me)
And what’s the hardest thing about being a DJ?
The hardest thing is the coolest thing actually, to be able to carefully select your next gig music in order to stand out and this music selection to be able to insert ,give the right energy and emotions to crowd .
Best thing about Dance Music culture right now?
Best thing right now is you can experiment and be able to be who you like to be, with power of social media.
Worst thing about Dance Music culture right now?
Quantity much more than quality these days.
