Tell us a bit about yourself:
Hey guys, I am Markus, Techno (Peak Time) DJ and producer based in Berlin. Music has always had a special place in my live. I come from very non-musical families and give our family tree an artistic touch. I have always been fascinated by the Techno community and have wished for projects similar to the Music Institute of Detroit for my home region of Koblenz. But these are 2 different worlds. However, this allowed my connection to electronic music to grow together extremely intensively. That’s why I have always been hungry and become a Techno junky.
How did you get into DJing?
In my hometown, my apartment always was the Afterhour place. During that time I started to look what friends are doing on the Decks and so one thing led to another…
What DJs have had the most influence on you?
Adam Beyer (for me he put Techno on a higher level)Dense & Pika (their unique groovy Techno Sound combined with metallic Drums always destroy my mind)Tiger Stripes (his creativity is insane)

Best thing about Dance Music culture right now?
More and more festivals are springing up. This gives DJs more gigs and the community more choice. And the people are all the more motivated because of the 2-year break. You can see how much fun people are having and how much they have missed the festival season.
Worst thing about Dance Music culture right now?
Due to digitalisation, the analogue contact among ravers and the love for detail is a bit lost. The main thing is that the bass bangs, then people are already satisfied. That’s why productions are becoming simpler and more static. But that’s probably also a matter of taste.
Why should listeners vote for you?
Techno is my love and my passion. I just want to have fun and have an awesome time with people and if people vote for me, I will do everything I can to make sure we have an unforgettable time together.
