Johnny Stayer is a prolific chart-topping producer and superstar DJ. His fresh, upbeat productions such as ‘Ready to Go’, ‘By Myself’, Breakin’ My Heart and ‘More than You’ have garnered support from the most influential DJs around the world. Behind the decks, he is a powerhouse; keeping the crowd jumping with party vibes perfect for tearing up the dancefloor!
How did you get into DJing?
I was in love with club music from the beginning. When I was a teenager, I started organizing private parties where I made mixes. And I’ve loved DJing ever since.
What DJs have had the most influence on you?
In the past it was Tiesto, David Guetta and Roger Sanchez.In nowadays James Hype, Purple Disco Machine and Claptone of course.
You’re being put to death, but you can listen to one last track before you die. What track do you choose?
Robin Schulz, Marc Scibilia – Unforgettable. My little daughter made her very first steps while this track was playing.
What’s your favourite thing about Ibiza?
I have never been there but the myth of the music culture in Ibiza is my fav.
What’s the easiest thing about being a DJ?
It is not easy if you don’t wanna stay a bedroom DJ.
And what’s the hardest thing about being a DJ?
Keep balance between career and family.
Best thing about Dance Music culture right now?
House music lives and flies again.
Worst thing about Dance Music culture right now?
Same drops with different vocals. So boring.
