Tell us a bit about yourself:
Hey everyone, I’m Leagas, a tech-house producer and DJ from Manchester. I was introduced to the house scene about 3 years ago and it’s had me addicted every since.
How did you get into DJing?
Going to gigs – which initially got me producing and then I wanted to learn to DJ to be able to play my music (and other people’s music) out.
What DJs have had the most influence on you?
Damn, this is though. Fisher – Chapter & Verse – John Summit
You’re being put to death, but you can listen to one last track before you die. What track do you choose?
Damn, this is even tougher. A weird one but probably ‘Go Deep – Gorgon City’. When I went to Hideout for the first time, this was the song my partner and I played a lot. It was my first real exposure to the house scene and it brings back such great memories every time I hear it.
What’s your favourite thing about Ibiza?
Everything. I actually lived there for two years, I love it that much. It’s hard to explain, the island is just magical.
What’s the easiest thing about being a DJ?
Playing the right tracks out – also one of the best bits!
And what’s the hardest thing about being a DJ?
Getting gigs.
Best thing about Dance Music culture right now?
The community.
Worst thing about Dance Music culture right now?
It’s difficult to get your name out there – which is the same with any amazing industry, lots of competition.
Why should listeners vote for you?
I think listeners should vote for me for my creativity – like most people into house music, I’ve had some super euphoric moments on the dance floor, and I just want to re-create them for other people – hence the remix of ‘Turn Off The Lights’ I made for the mix intro, I want to make a statement 😀
