Tell us a bit about yourself:
Monoton has been a DJ in Germany since 1999, starting out at smaller parties and open airs where he was regularly booked, and in 2004 he became a resident of the Zunami Club in Hannover, where he met people with house music and Hip Hop made him dance. In between, he of course also visited other clubs and parties to present his music there. He is the organizer of the Event “housebesuch” It’s a well-known house party in Germany. Monoton has also been playing under the name “the old father Mo” Since 2018 he is a resident of the Germany-wide known event Houseklänge, with which he has already toured Germany with Steven Caretti and Denace 2 Society. During this time he played gigs with Boogie Pimps, Tom Novy, The disco boys, Hanne & Lore, Jens Lissat, Nadine Fehn, La Fusa, Dr.Disco, KayTopic, and many more. In September 2021 he has international releases on Cruise music records and tactical records. Also he has releases on Funky creatures in Miami and on juiced music
How did you get into DJing?
1990 I realized that I can’t live without music and I started with djing

Mr.Twister aka Marc Fisher from GermanyDaft PunkLoui Vega and Kenny Dope

What’s your favourite thing about Ibiza?
I like the ocean beat.
What’s the easiest thing about being a DJ?
Relaxing and open my mind
And what’s the hardest thing about being a DJ?
Reading the dancefloor and switch the style if you see that people are leaving the floor
Best thing about Dance Music culture right now?
I like celebrating music with people. Music is the most beautiful language in the world. Music never lies to you. Music is quiet when you need rest and music is always there when you need it
Worst thing about Dance Music culture right now?
I don’t like that the music culture has become commercialized. Behind the stage, there is more appearance than reality
Why should listeners vote for you?
So that we can celebrate together and I can see something different than gray Germany
