Tell us a bit about yourself:
Hi, Mark Edgcumbe here, or DJ Mark as I’m known in the world of music. I live in Scotland UK, my favorite genres are Deep house, Progressive House, Techno, Progressive, and Funk. I love all kinds of music from Motown to Heavy metal, always had music as the main entertainment in my life.
How did you get into DJing?
My fiance really! We met and enjoyed listening to sets all around the world from various DJs and genres. So bought a set of DDJ 400s and thought I’ll give this a go lol….. The rest is history!
What DJs have had the most influence on you?
Jon the pleased wimmin, Claptone, Carl Cox, John Digweed, and various others… The list is endless!

What’s the easiest thing about being a DJ?
Choosing Tracks for a set. Networking and working with other DJs.
And what’s the hardest thing about being a DJ?
Technical Issues lol.
Best thing about Dance Music culture right now?
The quality of tracks being produced is amazing, so much talent out there.
Worst thing about Dance Music culture right now?
Its starting to pick up again, but the pandemic has hit the scene hard.
Why should listeners vote for you?
They should vote for me because I’m a new DJ up against the very experienced competition. I have great taste in tracks and the choice. I work seriously hard to get better and I’m not scared to go out of my comfort zone. I’ve been told that I have a natural talent for entertaining a crowd.
