Tell us a bit about yourself:
I’m Jesse, I’m 21 years old and from The Netherlands. I’m very into Electro & Progressive House and I have tracks of my own in stores as well.
How did you get into DJing?
When I first saw Martin Garrix playing at a concert in my own country, I instantly knew for sure that I wanted to be a DJ and learn to produce my own tracks. Since then I never stopped practicing and it would be a dream come true to play at a festival in Ibiza once.

Martin Garrix, Julian Jordan, Marshmello

Ushuaia & the beach
What’s the easiest thing about being a DJ?
I guess to choose what tracks you play because I’m never in doubt about what to play, I just discover insane bangers every week, and then I wanna play them all, so for most tracks that I’m into I’ll definitely play at least once.
And what’s the hardest thing about being a DJ?
Mixing live. It’s always hard to choose what kind of edits you wanna play live and make those choices. I just listen to my heart and try to make the tracks sound awesome.
Best thing about Dance Music culture right now?
Being between the people and the industry. I love interacting with the crowd and other djs during sets. I love to socialize with different people.
Worst thing about Dance Music culture right now?
Building a fanbase. It’s never easy to get heard if you start from the bottom. But if you work hard and have patience you’ll get there automatically. It’s definitely worth it.
Why should listeners vote for you?
It would be a dream come true to play at this club and I love to DJ all around the world. I’ve seen many previous Masquerade shows and I really wanna perform there once, It would be a really cool experience.
