Tell us a bit about yourself:
Hey! My name is Rosina. I am from Cork City, Ireland. I have been djing since 2018. I play a range of different genres that I like to incorporate into my mixes such as different sub genres of house, techno, breaks, disco and more. I don’t limit myself to any genre boundaries. I have had the pleasure of playing in clubs and bars around Cork City.
What DJs have had the most influence on you?
James Hype – First seen James Hype back in 2018 in Magaluf. He is a genius when it comes to djing and I love how he mixes different genres of music together.
Girls Don’t Sync – A group of 4 talented female djs that are breaking the bias. Being a female dj in a male dominated industry can be difficult.
PAWSA – I just simply love his music!
Different djs have influenced me in different ways so these would be just naming a few.
You’re being put to death, but can listen to 1 last track before you die. What track do you choose?
Blue Monday – New Order
What’s your favourite thing about Ibiza?
The atmosphere
What’s the easiest thing about being a DJ?
Sharing good vibes through music
And whats the hardest thing about being a DJ?
At times, being a female can be very difficult in a male dominated industry but it is getting better!
Best thing about Dance Music culture right now?
Since covid lockdowns ended, the dance music culture grew. We are seeing many more producers, djs, and also more people appreciating music culture and attending more music events.
Worst thing about Dance Music culture right now?
A lot of clubs, venues etc closed down which held the best dance music events. Leaving limited options for people to attend music events in their area.
Why should listeners vote for you?
It is my dream to play to in Ibiza and to create an experience for everyone that they wont forget. Music is my passion and it would be beyond a dream to play along side Claptone at The Masquerade.
