Tell us a bit about yourself:
I’m Dimitri van Wijck (DJDVW) from the Netherlands i Play for this contest a Tech House and House Music dj set. In the Netherlands i play all kind of music because i’m a Club deejay and play arround in Netherland, Belgium and sometimes in Abroad.
How did you get into DJing?
i was going out every weekend and the deejay that played there was really bad at playing the right tunes and his technic was not on point. I say to my girlfriend at that time, I think i can do that better. so now im here 12 years a deejay.
What DJs have had the most influence on you?
Back in the days my number one was a lot of diffirent deejays & producers. DJ CHUCKIE, ABSTRACT, UNEAK, LAIDBACK LUCK and manny more.
You’re being put to death, but you can listen to one last track before you die. What track do you choose?
Avicii – Without You, ColdPlay – A sky full of stars
What’s the easiest thing about being a DJ?
That I can control the people with my music.
And what’s the hardest thing about being a DJ?
Keep the dancefloor happy and dont let the people get bored & walked away.

You can play every type of remix genre style in the dance music culture
Worst thing about Dance Music culture right now?
The producers/deejays making the same music over and over. If you look at spotify, beatport like you notice that everybody is making the same sort of music. Me as a deejay im searching for more rare music in my sets but that is hard to find these days.
Why should listeners vote for you?
Because i play good music, mix quality is on point, I know what the people want on the dansfloor. My sets are always different. When i play i try to read the public in what they want to hear. there is so much more but i need more paper haha
