Tell us a bit about yourself:
Hi my name is La Sam I am a DJ/Producer/A&R from Essex and play mainly Tech house but also play Deep house / minimal plus other similar sub genres.I have played in London, Croatia, Malta, Budapest & Wales. Been doing it for 8 years and have released on Record labels such as Techords, Marylebone records, New Violence & more. I have also been a&r for record label play nice collective for a year or so and was previously a&r for East project for 3 years.
How did you get into DJing?
I started listening to Ibiza voice when I was 16 (now 28) it was a Lee Foss podcast and I was hooked. Then started going to events and raves in London from 17.When I was 20 I was working in Zante and using virtual DJ at the time. I did a lock in party that went pretty well so decided to come back and practice and here I am 8 years later.
What DJs have had the most influence on you?
wAFF because of his production and character / track selection during his gigs.Lee Foss because he was the reason why I got into deep house that grew into tech house. Maya Jane Coles because of her unique sound that inspires me all the time.

What’s your favourite thing about Ibiza?
Dc10 & Paradise.
What’s the easiest thing about being a DJ?
Picking the music you like.
And what’s the hardest thing about being a DJ?
Encouraging promoters to keep booking you without being too demanding.

Togetherness and freedom.
Worst thing about Dance Music culture right now?
People using their social holds to look as if they are good at what they do instead of actual talent.
Why should listeners vote for you?
They should vote for me because I know how to warm up and my music collection is varied. I have done the warm up set many times but I have also done all the other slots. I am not afraid to play to big crowds in huge clubs or huge events as I have done that before. However I have never played in Ibiza and a help of your vote would help me get there which would mean the world to me. If the mix bonds with you and you can relate to it then please hit vote.
