Tell us a bit about yourself:
Hi, I’m OLAVI from Gothenburg and I play Melodic Techno & Indie Dance.I’m always in pursuit of a perfect symmetry where the light shines through the darkness. I love capturing melodies and playfully mixing them with straight vocals and hard percussion. The music I play tend to feel a lot faster than it is, which is fully intended.
How did you get into DJing?
I started my journey about twelve years ago. I was actually studying to become a sea captain at the university in Gothenburg. I did a small course in DJing and it changed my life. Today, I have my own label called Trusted Tracks and I’ve been releasing music since 2020.
What DJs have had the most influence on you?
Jonas Rathsman – I’ve been working with this genius for a couple of years and it’s been a game changer.Super Flu – I moved to Berlin earlier this year to work with Super Flu and their label Monaberry. It was a great experience and I love those guys.Ito Cekaj & Rasange – We have the label Trusted tracks together and they are the most inspirational guys I’ve ever worked with.

What’s your favourite thing about Ibiza?
The vibe.
What’s the easiest thing about being a DJ?
Evolving my music, set and library.
And what’s the hardest thing about being a DJ?
Finding the time to finish up unfinished demos.
Best thing about Dance Music culture right now?
The evolving scene. There’s a lot of new exciting stuff happening all around the world.
Worst thing about Dance Music culture right now?
The trend which is focusing more on likes and following than good music.
Why should listeners vote for you?
Because I’ll take the opportunity of playing with Claptone seriously. But don’t vote if you don’t like the mix ofc.
